I may be a year late on the 25th Anniversary of Street Fighter but the legend lives on. To me everyday is a day to celebrate the making of the Street Fighter series. It was the first versus fighting game that I ever played and it was my favorite series growing up. Ken and Ryu were my favorite characters in the whole series because of how unique they were and what they could do. They basically became the staple of how video game fighting characters were made. Every fighting game after Street Fighter had their own Ken & Ryu in their lineup with their own unique moves patterned with the same motion of execution.
It's crazy to say but I've loved the series for well over 20 years now. It's a piece of pop culture that I can't just give up. There are others who agree with me. Check out this documentary about Street Fighters 25 years of existence and its popularity.
